Doncaster men can hop on a bus and discuss peeing problems

Doncaster men are being invited to hop on a bus...to find out more about the treatments for peeing problems.

If you have water works issues, such as straining when you go for a pee, or frequently get up in the night to the toilet, you’ll be able to find out more about the support on offer.

Staff from local health trust, Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH), will be taking their health bus to Doncaster’s Lakeside Shopping Centre to mark Prostate Cancer Awareness Day on March 1.

They will have a range of information available on the lower urinary tract symptoms in men and the Continence Health Specialist Nurses will be promoting the signs and symptoms of any underlying concerns.

Donna-Marie Atkinson, RDaSH Continence Sister, said: “Please come along and visit us – you can find out a range of really useful information about these symptoms and be referred to the relevant services, we hold a clinic in Doncaster specifically for these symptoms for men to attend - get these symptoms under control with the right treatment early, don’t leave it or suffer in silence.”

The nurses will be on hand on the health bus from 9am to 3.30pm. Alternatively, ring the service on 01302 379510
