Doncaster mum-of-two Nicola Codd launched her Puddle Ducks franchise two years ago as a way of teaching swimming and life-saving classes to children and parents.

The firm has just launched a new set of four classes at Owston Hall Hotel, taking place every Wednesday from 10am onwards, which brings the total number of locations to nine across Doncaster and South Humberside.

Nicola launched the franchise as she wanted a job where she could spend more time with her children and the business now teaches swimming to more than 500 parents and toddlers.

She said: “Puddle Ducks has provided me the opportunity to fit my work around my family, spending time with my two boys who are aged three and six, whist doing a job that I love.

Parents in Doncaster have been really supportive since our launch two years ago, and our customers are extremely loyal, which I believe is simply down to the quality of the teaching programme.”

She added: “We are delighted to be offering classes at Owston Hall Hotel in our new term from September. It’s a lovely pool and because we keep our class sizes limited to nine babies or toddlers, myself and my other fabulous teachers can really give everyone the best attention.
