Doncaster delivery drivers urged to be on guard after van thefts

Delivery drivers in Doncaster are being urged to secure their vehicles when making deliveries after a spate of thefts.

The warning comes from South Yorkshire Police who said: “Over the last couple of weeks, opportunistic thieves have stolen delivery vans while the vehicle was unattended as the driver was making a delivery.

“Officers are urging drivers to please be mindful and remove keys from ignitions and lock their vehicle when leaving it unattended, and to also be vigilant to their surroundings and who may be around.”
