Doncaster building society raises £9,000 for Children In Need

The Doncaster branch of the Leeds Building Society has raised over £9,000 for the 2013 BBC Children in Need Appeal.

The Leeds has raised £9,050 so far thanks to a combined effort via staff fundraising at head office and the Society’s branch network.

The total also includes donations from the public across all 65 UK branches of the mutual.

The Doncaster branch of Leeds Building Society has assisted this fundraising effort with staff donating £2 on Children in Need day to take part in a ‘dress up’ or ‘dress down’ day. The team, at 8 Frenchgate, Doncaster, has also been accepting donations to Children in Need from members of the public.

Melissa Foulis, Leeds Building Society Doncaster Branch Manager said, “Leeds Building Society’s current overall fundraising total of £9,050 could rise still further as all branches, including the Doncaster branch, will continue to accept donations for the appeal until the end of the year.”

Alexandra Moyes, BBC Children in Need Corporate Partnerships Executive said, “This money raised by Leeds Building Society’s staff and customers, in Doncaster and across the UK, will be used to really change and enhance the lives of thousands of disadvantaged youngsters nationwide. With more children than ever needing support every donation makes a huge difference.”
