Assistance dog charity Canine Partners is urging Doncaster residents to sponsor a puppy this Christmas and also transform someone’s life.
From as little as £1 a week residents will be able to follow the journey of their sponsored puppy, which will be trained to provide assistance to people with physical disabilities.
Sponsors will receive a My Amazing Puppy gift pack and regular updates on the progress of their puppy.
The money raised will go into charity coffers.
Kim Bowen-Wood, the charity’s individual giving officer, said: “This is a great Christmas present for children and adults alike while donating to a worthy cause.
“You can sponsor a puppy and transform a life, it’s that simple.
“The recipient will receive a soft toy and regular updates on how their puppy is getting on with its training.”
Dogs at Canine Partners are trained to help disabled people with everyday tasks, including opening doors, undressing, pressing buttons and emergency response.
The dogs’ assistance increases their partner’s independence.
The charity receives no government funding and relies on public donations. Call 01730 716015.
