Dogs promise plenty to smile about
Raw energy and passion is promised when a set of Ferocious dogs take to the stage in South Yorkshire.
Ferocious Dog have put themselves in the limelight of the alternative scene with a string of impressive shows.
And now they are among the headline acts at The Something to Smile About Festival in Hatfield this weekend.
“With their unique, aggressive, yet feel-good music they tear up venues.”
The band includes frontman Ken Bonsall, violinist Dan Booth, mandolin and banjo player Ellis Waring, bassist John Alexander, drummer Scott Walters and guitarist Les Carter, better known as Fruitbat from Carter USM.
The spokesman said: “Carter USM headlined Glastonbury in 1992 and Ken and Dan were there – and now he is in their band. Dreams do come true.”
The Something to Smile About Festival takes place at Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre from Friday to Sunday, June 3 to 5.
It features a “twin stage” – allowing the festival to showcase back-to-back music – a hidden stage, family workshops and a MeadEvil bar, selling a range of meads, fruit wines and ciders, as well as a traditional bar.
Other artists among the 30 acts set to appear at the festival include Ben Ottewell, Echo Town and Wille and the Bandits.
