Dog walker’s phone stolen

POLICE are appealing for information after a woman’s phone was allegedly stolen while she was out walking her dog.

The victim, aged 24, was walking her two dogs along Mexborough High Street when one of them broke free and ran towards two men who were walking another dog.

She began to chase her dog and dropped her mobile phone onto the pavement.

Police said it is believed one of the men picked up the phone and walked away.

The incident happened on Friday, November 16, at 5pm and officers are now trying to trace the two men involved.

Police described the first man as white, 45-years-old and 5ft 8ins tall of stocky build. He was wearing a green Barbour jacket.

The second man is described as white, 45-years-old, 5ft 10ins tall of medium build with dark hair. He was wearing a dark coloured Barbour jacket.

Anyone with information is asked to contact South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 830 of 16, November.
