Police remain at the scene of a fatal house fire that left one man dead this morning.
Investigations are underway to establish what happened at the property, on Church Road, Denaby.
Emergency services were alerted to the blaze on at 7.11pm last night and found the smoke-logged house involved engulfed in flames.
Six firefighters wearing specialist breathing apparatus searched the property and found a man, aged in his 60s, unconscious upstairs.
They carried him outside, where he was given emergency first aid by firefighters and paramedics before he was taken to hospital by ambulance.
He could not be revived and was later pronounced dead.
The fire is believed to have started downstairs.
A joint fire and police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the blaze has been launched.
