Suspected thief arrested after Doncaster letter box incident

He was one of two people arrested for on the same night for separate alleged burglaries in Doncaster town centre one night in the last month, police have revealed.
Doncaster central neighbourhoods Insp Mark Payling described the two incidents.

Hide AdHe said: The first, came from CCTV spotting a male, outside a shop with his hand through the letterbox, fishing a package out from the inside. Officers intercepted him nearby and found the parcel on him. He was detained for burglary.
“Then, a short time later, a second incident occurred when an alarm company confirmed they had identified an intruder who had broken in to some abandoned flats at Cleveland Street. Offices attended and arrested a male who was found to be in possession of several knives and wanted for another local burglary.”
