Police probe launched into shooting in Doncaster

A police probe is under way into a shooting in a Doncaster street.

Detectives were called in after a gun was fired towards a property in Littlemoor Lane, Balby, at around 10.45pm yesterday.

Nobody was injured but damaged was caused to the property.

In January 2019, popular boxer Tom Bell, aged 21, was shot dead through the window of the Maple Tree pub in Balby.

Scott Gocoul, 28, was found guilty of murder and jailed for a minimum of 33 years.

Joseph Bennia, 30, was found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to 17 years.
