He said: “We were just walking along minding our own business when we saw a man walking a dog on the other side of the street.

"Then another dog came out of this house, followed by who I presume was its owner and started attacking the dog that was being walked.

"The guy saw us looking and shouted ‘what the f*** are you looking at’ and set the dog on me.

"The next thing I know, I was on the ground and I’d got three dogs on top of me biting and attacking me.”

"I don’t know what type of dogs they were, but they were vicious and snarling and biting me all over. My arms were dripping with blood and I had to go to hospital in the back of an ambulance.

"They kept me there for 14 hours.”

The victim also alleges he was attacked with a metal bar in the same street a few days after the initial attack.
