Doncaster Council’s tough stance on people committing littering offences has resulted in further prosecutions.

Following the latest round of environmental crime prosecutions by Doncaster Council 27 people have been issued with fines.

All of the cases were heard by Doncaster Magistrates on Wednesday November 13.

The fines ranged from £80-200 with costs up to £145.

Councillor Joe Blackham, Cabinet Member for Enforcement, said: “Doncaster Council takes strong action against environmental crime. All of those who appeared before magistrates will have had a chance to pay a lesser fine in the first instance and have ignored repeated opportunities to avoid court.”
