Doncaster teenager who made a threatening phone call and damaged two cars given conditional discharge

Cameron Richards appeared before Doncaster Magistrates’ Court on October 13 where he admitted one count of sending a threatening communication, and two counts of criminal damage.
Richards, 18, of St Peter’s Road, Balby, made the call on May 5 this year, which “was grossly offensive, or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character”, records state.

Hide AdHe also caused damage to a Vauxhall Corsa and a VW Golf on the same date, records show. All the offences took place in the Bowburn area of County Durham.
Richards was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £200 in compensation for the damage to the cars.
He must also pay £85 in prosecution costs and a £22 victim surcharge, records show. Magistrates also issued a restraining order.
