Pubs have been targeted in a spate of burglaries across Doncaster.

The biggest haul was at the Green Tree Inn on Tudworth Road, near Hatfield.

Raiders removed the glass from a window to gain entry to the premises after closing time on Tuesday evening and forced the gaming machines to get away with around £800.

Burglars struck at the Station Hotel in Station Road, Blaxton, between 2.20am and 3am on Wednesday, also forcing a side window to get in. They stole around £200 from gaming machines.

The third burglary was at the Britannia Hotel in Low Road, Balby, on Wednesday during the daytime.

The rear door was forced and the thieves got away with a large screen television valued at £700.
