Louis Wigley made a "deliberate decision" to spit at the officer and kick another as he was arrested, Judge Rachael Harrison told him at Sheffield Crown Court, on Wednesday.
The court heard he was given a community order for spitting at a police officer while at a custody desk, after trying to bite another officer, in November 2019.

Hide AdLauren Fisher, mitigating, said Wigley had shown remorse in police interview.
She said he had been complying with an alcohol treatment programme which was imposed after his earlier conviction.
Wigley, 29, of Todmorden Close, Denaby Main, Doncaster, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault on emergency workers, when he appeared at Sheffield Crown Court, on Wednesday.
Judge Harrison sentenced him to ten months in prison.
