Doncaster crime round-up - woman disturbs late-night burglars

The folowing crimes were reported to Doncaster police on August 14. Anyone with information should call 101.

Scawsby: A woman returned to her home in Malton Road just before 10.30pm yesterday and heard noises from intruders. The pair escaped through the back garden onto Roman Ridge before she got in to discover they had stolen jewellery, an iPad, a computer and games, and a mobile phone.

Intake: A burglar struck at two neighbouring houses in Dunleary Road on Wednesday night, breaking a rear door in one and and leaning through the window of the other to steal an antique coffee pot.

Dunsville: The occupants of a house in Catherine’s Avenue heard a bang at 1.30am today and discovered someone had tried to force the rear door but had not got in.

Hatfield: A raider removed the hinge of a shed door in Homestead Garth on Wednesday night and stole a mountain bike.

Campsall: A child’s motorised scooter valued at £300 was stolen in the early hours of Wednesday when a shed in Willow Road was burgled. Two figures were seen in the vicinity.

Skellow: A mountain bike valued at £1,200 was stolen while chained up in the back garden of a property in The Grange between 3pm and 4pm yesterday.

Hyde Park: A pizza delivery driver’s phone was stolen from his vehicle when a window was smashed outside Domino’s on Carr House Road at 8.30pm yesterday. A white youth of about 16 ran off along Carr House Road.
Toll Bar: Garden ornaments worth £100 have been stolen from outside a property in Villa Gardens betwene 10pm last night and 6am today.

Adwick-le-Street: Two chickens have been stolen from a coop behind a house in Mill Lane between August 8-11.
