The following crimes were reported to Doncaster police on August 4. Anyone with information should call 101.

Wheatley Hills: A woman who left her handbag in her car parked in Silver Jubilee Close discovered it had been stolen at 8.45am yesterday. A boy aged 12-14 wearing a grey hoodie was seen to smash the passenger window and grab the bag, containing her purse and mobile phone.

Cantley: A burglar climbed in through the open ground floor window of a flat in Wensley Crescent yesterday afternoon and stole £20 cash.

Edenthorpe: The garage of a house in Oakdale Close was burgled on Sunday night and two pedal cycles and a drill were taken.

Mexborough: Raiders who got into the Scout Hut on Ferryboat Lane between July 17 and yesterday by forcing a door have stolen a canoe.

Town centre: A child’s pink BMX bike was stolen from the rear garden of a house in Vaughan Avenue yesterday.

Wheatley: All four wheel trims were stolen from a Ford Ka parked in Raby Road between Thursday and yesterday.

Thorne: A skip containing scrap metal has been stolen from the compound of a firm on Coulman Road over the weekend.

High Melton: A ride-on lawnmower worth £800 was stolen from the garden of a house in Sheep Lane at 3pm yesterday and four men in a white Ford Transit van were seen on the lane at the same time.

Edlington: A child’s stunt scooter worth £100 disappeared from outside a house in Roberts Road in 15-minute spell yesterday teatime.
