Doncaster crime round-up, August 23: spate of burglaries

The following offences were reported to police on Friday August 22 and Saturday August 23. Anyone with information call South Yorkshire Police on 101.

Skellow: A Renault Clio was taken from outside a home on Acacia Road at 5am on Friday. It is believed thieves broke into the house and took the car keys which the owner had left on the stairs. The vehicle was later recovered on Cross Field Lane, Skellow.

Balby: Burglars forced their way into a home on Oliver Road between 8.30am on Friday and 6pm on Friday. They had broken a lock on a back door but the alarm sounded and they fled empty handed.

Moorends: Thieves broke into a shed and stole garden equipment at Marsh Land Road on Friday at 1pm. They made off with a generator, power drill and saw.

Edenthorpe: A bicycle was stolen from outside the Icleand supermarket on Thorne Road on Friday at 6pm. They had cut the lock to the mountain bike and ridden off.

Thorne: Kitchen equipment was stolen from inside a caravan on Hawthorne Road between 9pm on Thursday and 9am on Friday. They had smashed a window to get in and took cutlery and a toaster.
