Doncaster crime round-up, April 3

The following crimes were reported to Doncaster police on April 2 and April 3. Anyone with information call police on 101.

Cantley: Three mountain bikes were stolen from a garage on Whin Hill Road by burglars who broke a window to get in. A man was seen riding away on one of the bikes at around 9.30am.

Bawtry: A handbag and jewellery were stolen in a break-in at a house on Doncaster Road. The thieves had broken the lock on the door. Police think the raiders may have planned to also steal a car from the property but may have been disturbed in the raid in the early hours of Wednesday.

Rossington: A large quantity of food was stolen from the Varieties supermarket, on Nelson Road, on Tuesday night. A door had been forced. Police believe the thief may try to sell the food around Rossington.

Marshgate: Thieves broke into a shed at The Base, Marshgate, and stole a bike. It was between Tuesday at 2pm and Wednesday at 2pm.

Bentley: A pedal bike was stolen from a garden outside a house on The Homestead,on Monday March 31.

Intake: Two potted plants were stolen from outside a house on Devonshire Road, Intake. Police believe the thieves will try to sell them on.

Balby: Solar lights were stolen from a garden on Lytton Close, Balby, on Tuesday night.

Intake: Vandals smashed a window on a Toyota Avensis on Monday morning while the owner was walking his dog. Police want to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious between 9.30am and 10.30am
