The following people appeared at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court charged with the following offences.

INTAKE: A thief with a desire for denim was ordered to pay £85 after stealing jeans. Lawrence Keith Herrington, 54, of Leicester Avenue, was also handed a 12 month conditional discharge after admitting taking £25.57 of jeans and alcohol from Asda on February 20.

WOODLANDS: A thug is behind bars after head butting a man in a unprovoked attack. Daniel Andrew Hayes, 27, of Woodlands Road, was handed a 22 week sentence after admitting the attack that happened on September 17.

ARMTHORPE: Failing to stop at the scene of an accident landed a Doncaster motorist with a £300 fine. Wayne David Thomas, 22, of Handsworth Gardens, was also given six penalty points on his licence and was ordered to pay court costs after damaging a Toyota Avensis on January 21 in Sandringham Road then failing to stop.

MOORENDS: Losing his temper landed a Doncaster drinker with a 16 week suspended sentence. Mark David Fletcher, pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm following the incident on December 10. Fletcher, 27, of South Road, was also ordered to stump up £400 in compensation to his victim and pay £85 in court costs.

SKELLOW: Asda price was still not competitive enough for a supermarket thief who decided to steal her shopping instead. Caroline Hamill, 34, has now been ordered to comply with a community order after he pleaded guilty to taking £213 worth of produce from the supermarket giant on January 4. Hamill, of Elm Road, must comply with a six week curfew order and pay £85 in court costs.

EDENTHORPE: Producing cannabis has landed a Doncaster man with 150 hours unpaid work. Nathan Wayne Tetley, 28, of Scott Crescent, admitted producing 640 grammes of the class B drug following a police bust on November 21.

BALBY: A supermarket thief has been made the subject of a community order. Linsey Cherree Fletcher pleaded guilty to shoplifting after she took £17.70 worth of food from Asda on February 21. The 33-year-old of Smith Square was also ordered to pay £85 in court costs by magistrates.

CARCROFT: A man was been handed a suspended jail sentence after beating a woman. Martin David Allen, 40, of Sandyfield View, pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman on January 2. He received a 12 weeks sentence suspended for 24 months.

WARMSWORTH: A shopping trip ended in tears for a fashion conscious thief who stole clothes. Laura Kate Harrison, 29, of Cecil Avenue, admitted taking a pair of jeans and a quilted jacket from New Look on February 18 to the value of £59.98. She was made the subject of a community order which includes having to comply with an eight week curfew. She also pleading guilty to stealing £33.98 of clothes from the shop on February 13.
