Callous thief forces way into 102-year-old woman’s Doncaster home

An 102-year-old Doncaster woman has been ‘left shaken’ after a thief broke into her home and confronted her last night. 
The incident occurred at around 8pm yesterday evening when officers received reports of a break-in at a property in Churchill Avenue, Cusworth.

It is believed that a man forced entry into the house through the front door before confronting the woman inside.

The suspect stole some cash before leaving and locking the door behind him.

No-one was injured but the woman is said to have been left shaken by the incident.

The man is described as white, 6ft, in his late 30s and reportedly spoke with a Doncaster accent.

He is thought to have been wearing a dark jumper.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident.
