two people have been arrested after police uncovered a cannabis factory at a Doncaster house.
Officers recovered 168 plants with an approximate value of £160,000 from the property on Spansyke Street, Hexthorpe after information was received from the public about drugs being used there.
A woman aged 28 and a boy aged 16 were arrested and charged for cultivation of drugs.
They appeared at Doncaster Magistrates Court last Thursday, where they were remanded in custody.
Police Sergeant John Hunter said: “There was a substantial amount of plants recovered from this property, which was a direct result from information received from the public. We will always act on information passed to us by the community and I would urge anybody to contact us if they are suspicious of drug activity in their area.”
