Armed police sent to Doncaster town after suspected break-in

Officers were sent out at around 11pm on Friday evening, said police, because of concerns in Askern, where there were concerns someone may have been trying to break into one of the shops in the town.
Some residents in Askern have been concerned about break-ins at business premises in recent weeks.

Hide AdA police spokesman said in a statement: “Police were called at 10.55pm on Friday evening after reports of suspicious activity near to Furniture World in Askern.
“It was reported a number of offenders were attempting to access the premises.
“Officers were deployed but the premises was found to be secure.
“No arrests were made.”
They confirmed it was the armed response team who attended the scene.
