Armed police dealing with major incident at Doncaster tower block tonight

Heavy police activity has been reported by eyewitnesses at Shaftesbury House in Intake in the last hour.

The 14 storey block of flats is one of three residential tower blocks off Shaftesbury Avenue in the suburb.

Residents have reported a number of armed police vehicles at the scene and an ambulance is also understood to be in attendance.
