The following people appeared at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court charged with the following offences.

ARMTHORPE: A lager thief has been ordered to undertake nine months treatment for alcohol addiction. Louise Gillian, of Almond Avenue, pleaded guilty to two counts of shoplifting after taking two four packs worth just over £15 from Rhythm and Booze on March 14. The 34-year-old was ordered to pay £15.36 compensation to the Church Street store and £40 costs.

BALBY: A gang member who assaulted a person has been jailed. Thomas Hall, 19, of Waverley Avenue, received eight weeks inside after he admitted the November 17 assault in Printing Office Street.

DUNSCROFT: Magistrates have ordered a shoplifter to undergo six months treatment for drug addiction. Dawn Shotton, 38, of The Crescent, pleaded guilty to taking nearly £110 worth of goods from B&M Stores on February 11. She was ordered to pay £50 costs.

SKELBROOKE: A 27-year-old has been fined £100 and handed a restraining order for assaulting a woman. Thomas Pickering, of New Close Lane, must not contact his victim or call at a house in Cusworth until March 26, 2013. The 27-year-old denied assault following an altercation on February 2 but was found guilty of the offence. He was also ordered to pay £25 compensation to the woman.

WOODLANDS: Threatening violence against a person has landed a man with a £90 court bill. Mark Lawton, 44, of Lawn Avenue, was ordered to pay compensation to his victim following a disturbance on December 29. He admitted breaching the Public Order Act.
