Do you know someone working or volunteering for Lindsey Lodge Hospice who deserves an award?

Lindsey Lodge is launching its first recognition awards for staff and volunteers and is inviting colleagues, patients, families and members of the public to nominate someone in its organisation who goes the extra mile.

Lindsey Lodge Hospice Head of Workforce Jane Lacey-Hatton said: “Many people have told us they would like to have the opportunity to nominate a member of staff or volunteer as a way of saying thank you for the outstanding care or service they provide.

“We’ve decided to introduce these annual awards to give them the opportunity to say thanks and show their appreciation. So if you know of someone who deserves to be recognised we would love to hear from you!”

The nine awards to recognise the exceptional work of individuals, services or teams are:

Team of the year

Volunteer of the year

Staff member of the year

Carer of the year

Learner of the year

Newcomer of the year (12 months service or less)

Idea of the year – award for innovation and improvement

Exceptional contribution to fundraising

Shop window of the year.

Nomination Forms are available from the Lindsey Lodge Hospice website at www.lindseylodghospice.org.uk, from the Hospice Reception on Burringham Road, Scunthorpe, as well as all of its retail outlets.

Completed forms can be posted into post boxes available in Lindsey Lodge shops or to the staff and volunteer awards post box located at Lindsey Lodge Reception. Alternatively, scanned nomination forms can be returned via email to jane.lacey-hatton1@nhs.net.

The deadline for nominations for this year’s awards is Friday 10 August 2018.

An evening awards ceremony will take place on Friday 14 September at Ashby Decoy Golf Club to celebrate the achievements of our workforce and present the awards.
