Masters golf champion, the Steel City's own Danny Willett, has taken time out from his busy schedule to show support for a charity golf day in aid of the Samaritans.
The celebrity event on August 8 is being staged at Danny’s home club – Rotherham Golf Club – and includes a team captained by Sheffield United legend Tony Currie
Danny, who will be playing with the World Number One Jason Day and Rickie Fowler in the first two rounds of the upcoming 145th Open Championships, said: “I’m proud to see my home club supporting such a worthwhile event. I’d like to congratulate everyone involved for supporting Samaritans and raising awareness. May the best team win.”
