The controversial 55-year-old left the show yesterday after a row over his comments about Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, which saw him storm off set yesterday after clashing with weather presenter Alex Beresford about the explosive chat.
And viewers think Burghwallis-born Clarkson could be a suitable replacement for Morgan.

Some people reckon he'd be the perfect fit for the daily morning show, with one person saying on Twitter: "Nothing would please me more than to have Jeremy Clarkson take Piers Morgan's old position on Good Morning Britain."
Another said: "Jeremy Clarkson needs to be the Piers replacement on Good Morning [Britain] please... Would be very decent."
A third wrote: "If I'm honest I always thought Jeremy Clarkson would be perfect for @GMB."

Last night, ITV revealed Morgan had quit, stating: "Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain.
"ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add."
