A housing association, which provides properties for people aged over 55, has been nominated for a prestigious national award.

Hanover Housing Association is one of three organisations in the running for the category of best 50+ Housing Provider at the annual 50+ Awards.

The firm was nominated through a public vote and is being recognised for the affordable housing schemes it provides in Hanover Gardens, Haxey, and Campsall Park Road, Campsall.

Chris Munday, executive director of operations at the firm, said: “We are delighted with the nomination.

“This year we have launched our new range of downsizer homes which, coupled with our retirement housing and extra care portfolio, offers greater choice in the field of age-exclusive housing.”

The awards are in their fourth year and will once again focus on the contribution housing providers for the over 50s have made over the past 12 months.

Members of the public have until July 1 to vote for the winner in each category before the awards are given out at a ceremony at the London Olympia on July 14.
