Members of the public are being urged to nominate a business leader who has made a difference for the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the annual Doncaster Business Awards.
The search is on for the winner of the top gong, which is presented to an exceptional member of the community who can demonstrate at least 20 years of outstanding achievement working either in or with the private sector.
The award will be given out at the 17th annual awards ceremony, which is sponsored by Origin Broadband, organised by Doncaster Chamber and counts the Doncaster Free Press as its official media partner.
Nominations for the Lifetime Achievement Award should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, August 14. Last year the Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Stephen Lloyd, of the Hesley Group.
Entries for all other 14 award categories are open until 5pm on September 18. All businesses who are Doncaster Chamber members or who have a Doncaster (DN) postcode are eligible to enter.
Dan Fell, chief executive officer of Doncaster Chamber, said: “The winner of this award will be someone who has a strong connection with Doncaster, its economy and communities, demonstrating a real commitment to the betterment of the borough and someone who has achieved business excellence throughout their career.
“We would welcome nominations from the local community as to who should be honoured with the award this year.”
The awards bash is at Doncaster Racecourse on December 10. Tickets are available now via the website www.doncaster-chamber.co.uk or by calling 01302 640100.
