Chartered accountant Philippe Serna has joined the board of Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a non-executive director.
The 51-year-old, who lives in Lincolnshire, has more than 25 years’ experience in finance.
As part of his new role, Philippe will help to deliver the trust’s strategy, monitor its performance and bring his expertise and advice to the table.
He said: “I am delighted to be a member of Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals’ board.
“The trust is a very successful organisation and I am looking forward to contributing to its continued development as a leading provider of health services.”
He has worked through his own company as a senior consultant to blue chip companies and other organisations in Europe and the UK since 2003.
Throughout his career he has gained a wealth of experience at director level in finance and management and has expertise in risk management, process design, control and audit.
Philippe was educated at the University of New South Wales in Australia.

His term of office is for three years.
