A Doncaster businessman with a love for combat sports is looking forward to hosting his 12th mixed martial arts (MMA) show in Doncaster.

Dominic Gibbs, 44, a former operations manager at Doncaster Council, set up CSFC with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veteran Danny Mitchell and they held their first MMA event in December 2011.

Three and a half years later, the two friends are preparing to host the 12th event under the CSFC banner when Danny will be taking on Brad Carter, at the Doncaster Dome on Saturday, July 18.

Dominic said: “I always intended on making Doncaster the place to be to watch and participate in MMA. The next 12 months will be full of real hard work and dedication steering the show on to bigger and better events. “I have no intention on taking the show out of Doncaster, let them come here and fight the best local talent, mix that with fighters from around the world, attracting MMA fans into the town.”

Fight fans still looking to attend the event can visit for ticket information, prices and availability.
