Labour’s Ros Jones has won the first choice vote in Doncaster’s mayoral election.

Jones polled 21,996 - 560 ahead of Peter Davies who tallied 21,406.

The paair are now locked in a run-off, with second preference votes coming into play from the defeated eight candidates.
