BREAKING: Delays on East Coast main line after person hit by train

Rail passengers in Doncaster are being warned of delays on the East Coast Main Line after a person was hit by a train.

There are delays of up to 75 minutes on all routes through York following the incident on a line near the city around lunchtime.

All routes through York except York - Leeds via Harrogate are affected and the delays will continue until further notice.

CrossCountry passengers may use East Midlands Trains between Sheffield and Derby.

East Coast, CrossCountry and First TransPennine Express are accepting each others’ passengers on reasonable routes.

First TransPennine Express passengers may also use Northern Rail services on reasonable routes.
