Seven live bands will play at a Belton fun day and night today, with multiple other attractions, and all in a good cause.
The event, organised by the family of the late Richard Robinson of Belton, known as ‘Treeman’, begins at 2.30pm and will benefit the oncology ward at Scunthorpe General Hospital.
Along with rides, stalls, games and refreshments there will be a huge raffle with over 50 grand prizes that include a mini cruise, Winteringham Fields lunch for two, Thorpe Park Spa Day, golf for four at Forest Pines, Kinghams, Bistro Meal for two with wine, Bradford Bulls Tickets, Doncaster Races tickets (kindly donated by Northern Racing College), paintballing VIP tickets, a year membership to Tastecard, tickets to the Great Yorkshire Show and many more.
An auction in the evening has a Virgin hot air balloon ride for two and over £500 worth of VIP Bawtry paintballing tickets. Auction prizes have no reserves.
For younger members of the community there will be a bouncy castle, a bungee run, an inflatable slide, stocks, hook-a-duck, face-painting and candy floss.
Organiser Charlie Robinson, 32, of Cherry Grove, Belton, said: “The support has been tremendous.”
