Appeal for Brexit views as part of Sheffield City Region QES

Businesses across Doncaster are being urged to have their say on how Brexit could affect the economy as part of a key quarterly survey.

The most recent quarterly economic survey - an authoritative survey of nearly 400 businesses - revealed many are feeling ‘business uncertainty’ and called for ‘stability, clarity and action’ from the Government as the UK negotiates its withdrawal from the European Union.

The Sheffield City Region’s four chambers of commerce are now calling for businesses to elaborate further on their concerns over Brexit by taking part in the Q3 QES.

Dan Fell, chief executive officer of Doncaster Chamber, said: “This quarter’s survey will help the Chambers to identify the extent to which the EU referendum result is influencing business confidence within the region.

“The chambers have already called upon government, the treasury and the Bank of England to help create conditions of confidence and stability and to do whatever is necessary to maximise the UK’s growth potential.

“The results of the quarterly economic survey will help the chambers – and local partners – ensure that they are delivering the best possible support services to businesses as the economy goes through an unprecedented period of change.”

As an extra incentive for businesses to take part in the survey, all respondents will be entered into a free prize draw to win a pair of flights to Berlin, courtesy of Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
