When a retired miner Don (John Godber) and a former private school teacher Carol (Jane Thornton) meet up together at a bereavement group they both attend, they thought they had found a new beginning.

However, a bike ride through Europe begins to test their budding romance and the road to love is a rocky one when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object.

With its themes of finding love after loss and also of the ongoing impact of the Brexit vote, Don and Carol travel their way across Europe as they reconcile the past, debate the present and worry about the future.

This is a roller coaster of a bike ride with comedy thrown in.
