Volunteer clean sweep in litter picking clean up

Hard working volunteers were out in force during the latest festive community litter pick/clean-up morning in Swinton.

The tidy-up event was held on December 7 at Swinton’s well-loved Creighton Woods and all along Warren Vale Road.

The picture shows people from the Friends of Creighton Woods’ Group alongside Swinton ward councillors Ken Wyatt, John Doyle and Stuart Sansome.

To add to the festive fun on the day many of the volunteers came along in seasonal attire and altogether the group collected around 20-plus bags of rubbish from the designated areas.

Coun Wyatt said: “A great job done by everyone.”
