A flavour of a Victorian Christmas can be tasted at Brodsworth Hall at the end of this month and into December.

Those taking part in a Victorian festive flavour taste sensation can cook in ‘Mrs Beeton’s Christmas’ event, just one of the highlights of a ‘Season of Christmas Celebrations’ at Brodsworth Hall and Gardens.

Food historian Annie Gray, who has appeared regularly on television programmes such as Bake-Off and alongside chefs including James Martin and Heston Blumenthal, brings stories from a Victorian kitchen to life from both upstairs and downstairs.

The original Victorian kitchen at Brodsworth Hall and all its fascinating pots and pans is also open to visitors as part of the servant’s quarters at the Hall.

General manager at Brodsworth Hall and Gardens, Paul Robson, said: “This is a fantastic time of year to visit Brodsworth Hall and we are really looking forward to a packed calendar of festive events. We are decorating a 25ft Blue Spruce, homegrown from our own gardens this year, which was in need of re-purposing from its current location. It will stand proudly in the elegant Entrance Hall, guaranteed to bring a smile to our visitors.”
