The event, which ran from Saturday until yesterday, featured Punch and Judy, music and a host of traditional games for all of the family to enjoy, as part of a month-long celebration of Victorian life at the venue.

Each week the venue will play host to a different theme exploring elements of Victorian life.

Zoe Clark, assistant events manager said: “With the weather getting warmer it’s the perfect opportunity to get the family out and about and enjoying the sunshine.

“There’s lots going on at Brodsworth Hall over May and this is the perfect setting for exploring the lives of Victorians.”

Upcoming events include a Join The Cavalry event on Saturday and Sunday, May 30 and 31, where children will have the opportunity to take part in their own military drill on hobby horses.

And May 23 to 25 will see a selection of period sporting activities such as croquet, cricket and miniature golf take place at Brodsworth Hall as part of the month long celebrations.
