This stunning picture of tiger cubs was taken by keen amateur photographer Roy Briggs.

He said the image was taken when both he and his wife Joyce visited Yorkshire Wildlife Park, Doncaster, where he snapped the three rare Amur tiger cubs tucking into a raw meat lunch courtesy of mum, Tschuna.

The warm, sunny weather helped to attract them from their shelter into the open air grassy enclosure where their mum was already helping herself to the huge joint.

Roy added: “Perfect mum as she is, Tschuna left the tasty dish for the 10-week-old cubs (whose species is being pushed to the brink of extinction with only 450 remaining in the wild). They trotted out cautiously one by one, watched by a fascinated crowd of visitors.

“Mum was joined by all three cubs eventually who just couldn’t resist.”
