Pubs and restaurants will be able to provide an outdoor service from April 12 and customers can book tables on their local pub’s website from Friday March 26 but providing there is space, people will also be able to turn up without booking.
Nick Mackenzie, chief executive of Greene King, said: "It’s great that we can finally open outdoor areas in some of our pubs after such a long period of lockdown and we can’t wait to start welcoming our customers back, safely.

Depending on how the coronavirus situation unfolds, six people or two households will be able to meet indoors on May 17.
If all goes to plan, all lockdown restrictions will be lifted on June 21.
Mr Mackenzie added: "Until then, we all have our fingers crossed for sunshine and warm temperatures in April."
