Be a part of a history poem

dearne residents are invited to help put the final touches to a ‘Barnsley People’s Poem’, that will take pride of place in the town’s first museum.
The poem has been created by people from across the borough, along with celebrated Darfield poet Ian McMillan.
Visitors will see the poem as they arrive at the new Experience Barnsley Museum and Discovery Centre, that opens next summer.

A chance to be part of the chorus to read the poem takes place at the Barnsley Civic on November 10, to begin at 10.30am.
Anyone interested should call 01226 327000 to confirm attendance. The event is suitable for families.
