Doncaster reaches grim milestone as coronavirus death toll passes 100
According to the latest set of figures, released by NHS England this afternoon, there have now been 103 deaths in the Doncaster hospital trust area.
The figure is up five on yesterday’s total of 98.
In total, there have been 494 cases of COVID-19 in the Doncaster area.

Hide AdThe figures related to deaths recorded and reported in the last 24 hours, but do not include deaths in care homes or the wider community.
The numbers relate to all hospitals in the Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust which includes Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Montagu Hospital in Mexborough and Bassetlaw Hospital in Worksop.
More than 150 patients treated for COVID-19 at Trust hospitals have been allowed home after treatment.
Locally, there have been 2,191 cases and 218 deaths in Sheffield, an increase of three.

Hide AdRotherham has reported 736 cases and 113 deaths, an increase of six on yesterday’s figures.
The number of deaths in Barnsley stands at 92 with 678 cases, an increase of two on yesterday.
Nationally, the UK coronavirus death toll reached 28,650 following the death of another 204 patients.
It's the lowest daily total in seven weeks as the UK enters its seventh week of lockdown.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said he will reveal his ‘roadmap’ to exiting lockdown this weekend and how restrictions may be modified.
