Ambulance called to Doncaster vaccination centre as woman faints through worry

Doncaster Clinical Commissioning Group confirmed a woman had fainted at the vaccination clinic at Thorne Leisure Centre on Haynes Road on Sunday, and said it was believed that was due to their anxiety about having the jab.
They added the patient came round and is fine. An ambulance was called as a precaution, they added.

Hide AdMost of Doncaster’s adult population have already had at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
More than 200,000 coronavirus vaccines have now been administered in Doncaster, health chiefs said at the end of last week.
Doncaster’s director of public health said on Friday: “Our vaccination programme has seen the 200,000th jab being given this week – that’s first and second doses combined. That is a major milestone.
"When you are invited to get your vaccination, please take up the offer.”
