Belton school pupils’ bloomin’ display
Back in November pupils planted bulbs as part of their work remembering the centenary of the end of the First World War.
And the creative pupils in Years three and four at Belton All Saints Primary School planted poppies in anticipation of a summer spray.

A spokewoman at the school said: “The flowers are now in full bloom and were just in time for us to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings.”
Pupils learned about the D-Day landings, which took place on June 6, 1944, involving thousands of allied troops.
She added: “Pupils across school have been learning about the events and significance of those times. The poppies have made a lovely focus for our pupils to show their respect for this momentous occasion.”
