Loom boom benefits strays

A team of Belton girls are helping charities cash in on the latest loom band craze by making and selling them en masse.

The ten-year-olds, all pupils at Belton All Saints’ Primary, are fundraising for the Isle Animal Rescue and MacMillan Cancer Nurses, as part of the Humberside Police initiative Operation Lifestyle.

Georgia Campion, Lily Farminer, Eleanor Tillman and Francesca Tillman also plan a sponsored bike ride across the Humber Bridge to top up the £200 raised so far. Georgia’s mother Angela Coulson said: “The girls will pay for some veterinary treatment for animals at the Isle Rescue, at Ashby Road vets in Epworth, where I work.”
