45 ballet students from The Dance Space in Bawtry travelled to London to take part in ‘The Stars’ in our Eyes, which brings together the UK’s best amateur performing arts troupes for a 360⁰ dance show in the Royal Albert Hall. They performed ‘The Garland Dance’ which is based on the ‘Garland Waltz’ from Sleeping Beauty. Principal Janice Cotgreave RAD RTS AIDTA, said “The girls worked incredibly hard during rehearsals and their performance on stage in front of thousands at the Royal Albert Hall was fantastic. I couldn’t be prouder. We regularly perform at local venues, but to dance at such a famous theatre is an experience they will always remember and it gives me great pleasure to offer my students exciting opportunities like this.”

The producers of ‘The Star’s in our Eyes, Mardi Gras, have been creating thrilling events for young dancers to showcase their talent for over 20 years and are renowned for bringing together the most enthusiastic young troupes from across the length and breadth of the UK to perform at the most spectacular venues.
