Doncaster Rovers: Mitchell Lund signs new contract until 2019
The 19-year-old defender becomes the second player within five days to pen a new deal at the Keepmoat Stadium, following Cedric Evina’s lead.
Lund told the club’s official website: “I’m buzzing as my future is at this club and I can’t really ask for much more.
“The hard works starts here. I can’t let it go to my head.

“The gaffer believes in me so I need to prove it to him, the fans, my family and my teammates.”
Lund scored his first senior goal in the recent 3-1 win in the FA Cup at Cambridge United, a game that saw him return from a problematic shoulder injury.
Injury aside he has been a regular under new boss Darren Ferguson.

“I was pleased with him. I’ve got high hopes for him. He’s a good player.”
Leeds-born Lund first arrived at Rovers at the age of 12, progressing through the youth set up before being handed his first professional contract in May 2014.
