WEATHER WARNING: Arctic plunge to send temperatures plummeting to -4C
According to forecasters the mercury is set to sink to -4 degrees celsius (25F) in the north overnight - with everywhere experiencing lows of below freezing apart from the far south.
The Arctic plunge brings an end to the recent days of spring-like warm and sunny weather across parts of Britain - making time once again to get the winter coats back out.

Hide AdDaytime temperatures this weekend will struggle to get much above 5C (41F) in the north with highs of around 9C (48F) elsewhere.
Forecasters have even warned snow could hit Scotland, northern England and even fall as far south as Wales, the Midlands and East Anglia.
The sudden u-turn in the weather comes after a nationwide split this week brought spring warmth to the south while the north continued to shiver.
